The Minister of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism, Ambrozie-Irineu Darău, stated that the budget allocated for promoting tourism in Romania will be doubled in 2026, reaching approximately 4.5 million euros. He emphasized the importance of increasing funds for tourism promotion, comparing Romania's budget with that of other countries, even smaller ones. The Ministry of Economy has managed to achieve this increase, thanking the Ministry of Finance. The funds will be used to promote Romania as a tourist destination, invest in communities and tourist attractions, as well as to revive rural tourism. The budget also includes funds for the development of tourism and supporting regional economic development projects.
