The National Institute of Statistics (INS) reported a 2.4% increase in the gross average salary in Romania in November 2025, reaching a value of 9,371 lei, while the net average salary increased by 2.2%, reaching 5,615 lei. This increase is mainly due to the granting of occasional bonuses, financial aids, and higher production achievements. The most significant increases in the net average salary were recorded in the manufacturing of machinery and vehicles, with increases of 15.7% and 14.4%, respectively.

On the other hand, there were also decreases in the net average salary in certain sectors, such as air transport and the manufacturing of electronic products, with percentages between 0.5% and 4%. In the public sector, increases were reported in education (+1.1%) and health (+0.4%), while public administration recorded a slight decrease of 0.1%. These fluctuations reflect the impact of occasional bonuses and economic performance on salaries.
