According to data published by Eurostat, the annual inflation in Romania for 2025 is 8.6%, a significantly higher value compared to the average in the euro area, which stands at 1.8%. Additionally, Slovakia recorded an inflation rate of 4.1%, making it the second highest after Romania. However, this increase in prices in Romania is still lower than the previous estimates of the National Bank of Romania (BNR), which anticipated an inflation rate of 9.6%. These data suggest a complex economic situation for Romania, which deviates from the general trends in the European Union.
