Thales, a global technology company, will hire over 9,000 people by 2026, with 240 positions available in Romania. In 2025, the company exceeded its hiring goal, recruiting 8,800 people. Approximately 40% of the new hires will focus on engineering, while 25% will focus on industry. Thales received 1.4 million applications last year, setting a record.


The company aims to increase diversity, having 32% women among the new hires and a target of 75% for management structures by 2026. In Romania, Thales will continue its internship program for students, estimating that most will remain long-term employees. Thales invests over 4 billion euros annually in research and development, having over 83,000 employees in 68 countries.
