SpaceX, Elon Musk's company, is undergoing a serious test in the capital market, recording a 16% drop in shares just ten days after its debut on Nasdaq, on June 12.
This decline was part of a massive sell-off that wiped out nearly a quarter of the company's market value. Although SpaceX had a promising start, with shares rising rapidly, the correction came amid significant financial losses, with the company reporting net losses of $4.9 billion in 2025 and $4.28 billion in the first quarter of 2026.
At the same time, SpaceX announced the issuance of unsecured bonds, which was interpreted as an attempt to secure funding for its ambitious plans. Although the stock market listing made Musk the first person with a net worth of over $1 trillion, the question remains whether SpaceX will be able to justify investors' high expectations.
