Florin Jianu, the president of SMEs Romania, stated that the organization will intensify collaboration with European institutions to ensure a stronger voice for Romania in cohesion policies. Among the projects planned for 2026 is Romania's involvement in an artificial intelligence factory and the development of institutional relations with the European Parliament and the European Commission. Jianu emphasized the need to maintain the minimum wage and eliminate the minimum tax on turnover, which affects SMEs. At the event 'National Top of Private Companies in Romania', nearly 900,000 companies were analyzed, of which 600,000 made a profit. SMEs represent 99.73% of the total number of companies in Romania, having double the profit compared to large companies.
