According to the Romania Retail Marketbeat Q3 2025 report from Cushman & Wakefield Echinox, deliveries of new retail projects in Romania reached 186,000 square meters in the first three quarters, exceeding the total of 180,000 square meters from 2024. It is estimated that by the end of 2025, the total will reach approximately 217,000 square meters. Q3 2025 saw the completion of significant projects in Transylvania, including Agora Arad, Zacaria Retail Park Cisnădie, and Prima Shops Sibiu.


Dana Radoveneanu from Cushman & Wakefield Echinox emphasizes the resilience of the retail sector, highlighting developers' confidence in the local market despite economic challenges. The modern retail stock in Romania is 4.80 million square meters, and rents have remained stable, with values of 90 euros/sqm/month in Bucharest for dominant shopping centers.
