Rompetrol is restarting a petrochemical plant in the Petromidia refinery to strengthen its position on the Romanian polymer market

<p>The Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) plant has been restarted by Rompetrol Rafinare after a $1.5 million investment to meet the growing demand for petrochemicals. Director Yedil Utekov emphasized the importance of this reactivation for the petrochemicals division. The plant, with a capacity of 75,000 tons per year, will produce various sorts of packaging. The modernization included functional and safety tests, and Rompetrol maintained jobs during the plant's downtime.
