Following Nicușor Dan's presidential election victory, the Romanian leu appreciated significantly against the euro and the dollar, with the exchange rates of 5.0437 RON/EUR and 4.4966 RON/USD, both falling by up to 1.2%. Stock markets are expected to appreciate, interest rates on loans to fall and ROBOR to fall, reflecting a positive market reaction to the election result.
