Inflation in Romania is expected to rise to 5.6% year-on-year at the end of June, influenced by the increase in VAT and other taxes in August. Analysts forecast inflation at 6.2% by 2025, exceeding the central bank's target of 4.6%. The benchmark interest rate is expected to remain at 6.50% in July, and economic growth is forecast at 1.3% in 2025 and 2.2% in 2026.
