A study conducted by StarCo shows that over 50% of Romanian entrepreneurs would not be able to cope with a strong economic shock in terms of revenue, having insufficient reserves. Although most declare themselves optimistic for the year 2026, they perceive the state as a danger due to fiscal and legislative policies. 38% of respondents expect positive results in business, while 37% intend to invest in new equipment and products. However, 51% of entrepreneurs state that they can operate for a maximum of 3 months in the event of a significant decrease in revenue. The fear of failure and lack of fiscal stability are the main obstacles to starting new businesses. Additionally, AI is becoming an increasingly relevant topic in the business environment, with new tools constantly emerging.
