Minister Alexandru Nazare emphasized the need to change the development paradigm of Romania by 2026, shifting from a consumption-based economy to one focused on massive investments and added value. He stated that Romania needs a long-term strategic direction that stimulates investments and the creation of sustainable jobs. In this context, Nazare held consultations with the business environment to prepare an economic recovery program that will address the concrete needs of the private sector.
The package of measures will include solutions such as tax credits for companies, accelerated depreciation for the purchase of equipment, support schemes for large investments, and the stimulation of exports. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan announced that this package will be presented in a first reading at the Government meeting and will be discussed with social partners within the Tripartite Council.
