The retail market in Romania is expanding, with increased interest in small and medium-sized towns, where retail parks are becoming the main engine of development. Currently, localities with under 100,000 inhabitants have a significantly smaller stock of commercial spaces compared to other countries in Central and Eastern Europe. Retail parks offer attractive yields and respond to the demand for proximity. Romania has significant development potential, and towns with active economies of 15,000-20,000 inhabitants will attract investments in this sector. Recent trends also include a focus on sustainability and the integration of omnichannel services.
