According to the 2026 edition of the Wealth of Nations Index, conducted by the Warsaw Enterprise Institute, Romania ranks 30th out of 40 analyzed countries. In the private sector, our country ranks better, occupying the 20th place, which suggests a relatively good performance in this area. However, the quality of state spending pulls Romania down, placing it 34th in this indicator. This discrepancy highlights the challenges faced by the public sector, which directly affects the overall economic well-being of the country. The analysis emphasizes the need for reforms in public resource management to improve the quality of spending and, implicitly, Romania's position in international rankings.
