The Minister of Energy, Bogdan Ivan, stated that Romania holds strategic fuel stocks of over two million tons, essential for managing crisis situations. According to his statements, 56% of these stocks are located on national territory, while the rest is stored in strategic locations outside the country, ready to be transported quickly to Romania.

Ivan emphasized that these stocks are managed by specialized companies, which have a legal obligation to ensure their transport. Non-compliance with the legislation by these companies can lead to severe penalties from the Romanian state. The minister announced that he will order a verification of the stocks to ensure that the data in the documents matches those in the warehouses, an action that will take place Saturday morning.
