The Secretary General of the Government, Radu Oprea, stated that the most effective method of reducing the budget deficit is increasing GDP, estimating a growth of 0.6% by the end of the year, which is considered insufficient compared to the Romanian economic potential of 3% annually. Oprea presented three pillars for stimulating investments, focused on tax incentives and Green field projects, in order not to affect the current tax base and to support economic growth.
