Radu Miruță, the interim Minister of Transport, stated that TAROM should not be closed, but should operate efficiently, emphasizing that the Romanian state, as a shareholder, must identify solutions to revitalize the company.

During a press conference, Miruță explained that the former TAROM director, Bogdan Costaș, was dismissed due to non-fulfillment of duties, having a similar history at Romaero.

The minister warned that if the restructuring plan is not completed by the end of the year, TAROM risks losing state aid from the European Commission. He detailed the steps he will follow, including informing the Commission about the management changes and reviewing the restructuring plan, in order to obtain feedback and ensure the company's long-term viability.

Miruță emphasized the importance of TAROM for the Romanian state and his commitment to support its operation.
