Florin Barbu, the Minister of Agriculture, and his colleagues from PSD will not approve the emergency ordinance for reducing expenses by 10%, citing previous reorganizations.

The Minister of Agriculture, Florin Barbu, stated that he will not approve the emergency ordinance for a 10% reduction in expenses, emphasizing that the Ministry of Agriculture has already undergone a reorganization in December 2025, assuring Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan that the ministry will not be subjected to new reorganizations. Barbu mentioned that the ministry has saved 14% of the salary fund and has eliminated over 390 management positions.

Additionally, the Ministers of Health and Energy announced that they will not support the ordinance, which led to a request for a coalition meeting. Barbu emphasized that he does not oppose reform, but believes it is important to discuss constructive reforms, considering the savings already achieved. The draft law from the Ministry of Development provides for a reduction in personnel expenses and the number of occupied positions in public administration.
