Petrom has signed an agreement with state-owned Energocom of the Republic of Moldova to deliver gas extracted from the Neptun Deep field, starting in 2027. Although exact quantities are not specified, it is estimated that deliveries will be less than 1% of confirmed reserves, or about 300 million cubic meters annually. Energy Minister Sebastian Burduja emphasized the importance of this contract for energy solidarity in the region and for reducing Moldova's dependence on resources from the East.
