Oil prices remained above 100 dollars per barrel, with Brent at 101.76 dollars, after Iran seized two container ships in the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial route for global oil deliveries. This action took place in the context of stalled negotiations between the United States and Iran, despite the extension of the ceasefire by Donald Trump. Asian capital markets recorded significant gains, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq reaching historic highs, supported by strong financial results. Analysts, however, warn that the discrepancy between the rising markets and increasing risks cannot last indefinitely. In the energy sector, U.S. oil exports reached a record 12.88 million barrels per day, while gasoline and distillate stocks decreased, signaling strong domestic demand. Additionally, futures markets on Wall Street recorded a slight decline during Asian trading, and the dollar maintained some gains.
