Northvolt, the Swedish battery company, filed for bankruptcy in March, marking a significant slump in the sector. The liquidator, Mikael Kubu, said he had received a preliminary offer for the company's Swedish operations, including the Skellefteå factory and research center in Västerås. Although operations at the Skellefteå plant are planned to end, negotiations with potential buyers continue.
