MOL, the Hungarian oil company, announced on Friday that it has filed a complaint with the European Commission against the Croatian pipeline operator JANAF, accusing it of applying abusive tariffs. This complaint comes after another complaint filed last week, in which MOL challenged JANAF's refusal to transport Russian oil to the company and its Slovak subsidiary.

The interruption of deliveries through the Druzhba pipeline, which transports Russian oil through Ukraine, has left Hungary and Slovakia dependent on the infrastructure operated by JANAF. MOL claims that tariffs have increased significantly, nearly doubling, while ordered volumes have increased by 50%. The company considers these increases to be excessive and unjustified.

Although Croatia has expressed willingness to assist with oil supply, it has refused to transport Russian oil through the JANAF pipeline.
