During the meeting with the IMF delegation, Minister Bogdan Ivan addressed the effects of removing the price cap on energy and how it affects the competitiveness of the Romanian economy. Ivan mentioned that there are already commercial offers below the previously capped price and emphasized the importance of integrating Romania into the EU's Single Energy Market. He highlighted the performance of state-owned companies in the field and announced reform measures to stabilize the energy market, aiming to transform Romania from an importer into an exporter of energy by 2032.
