Microsoft announced on Wednesday that it intends to invest 50 billion dollars by the end of the decade to promote the use of artificial intelligence in developing countries, most of which are located in the southern hemisphere, known as the 'Global South'.
The announcement was made during a summit dedicated to artificial intelligence held in New Delhi, where leaders of major companies in the field met with government officials.
This investment comes after Microsoft announced last year a 17.5 billion dollar investment in AI in India, thus strengthening its position in one of the fastest digital markets in the world.
