Marius Voineag, chief prosecutor of the DNA, emphasized that ANAF reported only four cases of tax evasion with damages of over 10 million lei in 2022, which negatively surprised him. In the last two years, approximately 70 employees from ANAF and Customs have been accused of corruption. The DNA has handled seven cases of large tax evasion, with damages between 18 and 96 million lei. Voineag mentioned that the institution is working to improve the situation in the future.
