The mineral wool glass factory in Târnaveni, built by Knauf Insulation, was put into operation at the beginning of the year, but it had a temporary shutdown due to an ecological disaster in the area. With an investment of 140 million euros, the new unit will significantly contribute to the local market for insulating materials and will create over 100 jobs. The state of alert in the area has been extended due to the pollution of the Târnavă Mică river, affecting access to drinking water.
