In November, the annual inflation rate in the European Union decreased to 2.4%, down from 2.5% in the previous month. Romania continues to have the highest inflation, with an annual price increase of 8.6%. The lowest inflation rates in the EU were recorded in Cyprus (0.1%), France (0.8%), and Italy (1.1%). Compared to October, inflation decreased in 12 member states, remained stable in five, and increased in 10, including Romania, where it rose from 8.4% to 8.6%. In the eurozone, inflation remained stable at 2.1%, slightly exceeding the European Central Bank's target of 2%. The main contribution to inflation in the eurozone came from services, while energy prices decreased. In Romania, inflation stagnated at 9.8%, with significant increases in services and non-food goods. The harmonized consumer price index was 100.49% in November. The average rate of change in consumer prices over the last 12 months was 6.5%.
