According to data published by the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), the market capitalization reached 590.2 billion lei during the period of February 16 – 20, 2026, an increase compared to 562.67 billion lei the previous week. The total turnover of transactions with shares was 492.88 million lei, significantly lower than the 1.116 billion lei from the previous period. Tuesday, February 17, was the most active day, with a turnover of 171.46 million lei, while Thursday, February 19, was the weakest day, with only 69.93 million lei. The BET index closed the week at 29,193.91 points. The most liquid shares were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions of 90.39 million lei and an increase of 4.75%. Other notable shares include Hidroelectrica and OMV Petrom, with increases of 5.45% and 5.69%, respectively. The largest price increases were recorded by Energopetrol (+87.5%), Transelectrica (+15.12%) and Premier Energy PLC (+13.73%). In contrast, Uztel had a decrease of 9.72%, followed by Electrocontact (-7.69%) and Sinteza (-5.08%).
