The International Monetary Fund (IMF) will revise its global economic growth forecast at the end of July, but Gita Gopinath, first deputy managing director, stresses that persistent trade tensions and economic uncertainty are weighing on the outlook. Although financial conditions have improved, global risks remain elevated. The IMF has previously lowered its growth forecast for 2025 and calls for action to resolve trade disputes and manage public debt. Emerging markets show slow but stable capital flows despite challenges.
