Passenger air transport grew by 5.9% in the first nine months of 2024 compared to the same period last year.

According to data from the National Institute of Statistics, the biggest increases were recorded at Henri Coandă Bucharest, Avram Iancu Cluj-Napoca and Iași International Airports. In terms of international passenger transport, the top ten airports of origin were London Luton, Milan Bergamo and Munich.
