Gold continued to rise, reaching a record price of nearly $5,600 per ounce, with an increase of 2.6% in a single day. This increase is fueled by investors' search for safety amid geopolitical and economic uncertainties, as well as the rising U.S. debt. Gold has gained over 27% this year, following a 64% increase in 2025, and analysts suggest that any decline could be a buying opportunity. Meanwhile, silver reached a record level of $119.34, with an increase of over 60% in 2026, due to investor demand and supply shortages. The Federal Reserve kept interest rates unchanged, and demand for gold was also supported by crypto groups' plans to invest in physical gold. Alongside this, the price of platinum has risen, while palladium has recorded a decline.
