The National Bank of Romania valued the euro at 5.0522 lei and the pound sterling at 5.9225 lei, both up. The US dollar and the Swiss franc depreciated, quoted at 4.3501 lei and 5.3713 lei respectively. The gold gram also fell significantly to 464.3232 lei. The IMF unit fell to 5.9529 lei. The rates are calculated on the basis of quotes from authorized banks and are not binding for trading.
