The European Union has decided to cut its 50% tariff on US whiskey to 25% in response to Trump's recent tariffs on aluminum and steel imports. Although whiskey has been excluded from the list of targeted products, other categories such as motorcycles and agricultural products will be taxed. The EU plans to approve the plan, which will take effect on April 15. The US-EU trade conflict began in 2018, and Trump recently threatened 200% tariffs on EU alcohol if the European bloc slaps tariffs on whiskey.
