Bucharest Stock Exchange: Increase in capitalization by over 15 billion lei this week

According to data published by the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) and consulted by AGERPRES, the stock market capitalization increased to 570.22 billion lei during the period of April 6 – 10, 2026, compared to 554.64 billion lei in the previous week.


The total turnover of transactions with shares was 413.17 million lei, an increase from 367.55 million lei in the previous week. The most active trading day was Tuesday, April 7, with a turnover of 195.79 million lei, while the weakest day was Thursday, April 9, with only 31.06 million lei. The BET index closed the week at 28,477.53 points.


The most liquid shares were those of Nuclearelectrica, with transactions of 135.14 million lei, followed by Banca Transilvania and Electrica SA. The largest increases were recorded by the shares of Sinteza (+13.13%), Fondul Proprietatea (+10.54%) and COMCM Constanța (+10.40%). In contrast, the company Energopetrol had a significant decrease of 31.29%, followed by Rompetrol Rafinare (-10.86%) and Roca Industry Holdingrock1 (-5.92%).
