BMW has announced the recall of over 145,000 cars, most of which are X5 models manufactured between 2019 and 2020, due to a fire risk caused by a problem with the starter. This can lead to engine overheating, and passengers may notice smoke or a burning smell. The company will replace the starter free of charge and will reimburse those who have previously paid for repairs. Notifications to owners will be sent on November 17.
