According to data published by the National Institute of Statistics (INS), the beauty services sector recorded a decrease of over 18% in the first three months of the year, compared to the same period of the previous year.
In March, the market services provided to the population had an increase of 4.6% compared to the previous month, with notable increases in hairdressing services (+29.5%) and laundry services (+15.4%).
However, decreases were reported in gambling (-5.1%) and travel agencies (-3.9%).
Compared to March 2025, the turnover decreased by 8.3%. In the first quarter, the services provided to the population decreased by 9.9%, with the largest reductions recorded in hairdressing (-18.4%) and gambling (-14.1%).
In contrast, travel agencies increased by 15.1% in the same period.
