According to INS, the net average salary decreased by 130 lei in August 2025, reaching 5,387 lei. The highest earnings were recorded in air transport (12,458 lei) and in the oil industry (11,649 lei), while the lowest were in the manufacturing of clothing (3,341 lei). Compared to August 2024, the average salary increased by 4.4%, but purchasing power decreased by 5% due to inflation.
