Anthropic, the American artificial intelligence company and rival to OpenAI, is preparing for a stock market listing that could exceed the record set by SpaceX, at $85.7 billion. According to Bloomberg, Anthropic 'expects to match or exceed' this volume, with an estimated market value of around $2 trillion.
The company, founded in 2021 by former OpenAI employees, reported sales of $11.6 billion in the second quarter, surpassing OpenAI, which had sales of $6.7 billion. However, Anthropic is facing net losses of nearly $42 billion in 2025, due to large investments in recruitment and infrastructure. Additionally, the company has had strained relations with the Trump administration, which terminated contracts with it. Anthropic could publish the listing document in the coming weeks, ahead of an initial public offering (IPO) planned for the fall.
