The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) has adopted an order requiring electricity companies to pay a deposit or set up a minimum guarantee when signing energy contracts on the stock exchange. The measure, designed to stop speculative practices by traders, provides for a 5% deposit for deliveries of more than 6 months and 10% for deliveries of up to 6 months. It will help stabilize the market and ensure buyers' financial responsibility.
