Alfred Simonis announced that, following the meeting with Prime Minister Bolojan, it was agreed that investments cannot be stopped abruptly, as was initially intended. In the next two weeks, possible savings from other ministries will be analyzed in order to supplement the funds needed to continue the big projects. Simonis emphasized that halting investment would have negative fiscal consequences and slow down the economy. It was also discussed to prioritize projects, especially those interlinked with European funds, to avoid losing funding.
