According to data from the Romanian Airports Association, passenger traffic is expected to increase significantly in 2024, reaching more than 26 million passengers. This represents an increase of 6% compared to 2023. The year 2024 also marked Romania's accession to the Schengen airspace, leading to increased operational efficiency and reduced waiting times for travelers.
