Prime Minister-designate Ilie Bolojan presented his reform plan to the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, stressing the need to urgently tackle the country's financial problems. He pledged order in public finances, good governance and respect for citizens, acknowledging that some decisions will be unpopular. Bolojan stressed the importance of an audit of institutions, downsizing administrative structures and professionalizing human resources, pledging to eliminate sinecures in ministries in order to build a modern and accountable state.
