The Romanian government, led by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, is preparing to restructure the public institutions it oversees. A meeting will be held at the Victoria Palace, where they will discuss optimizing spending and staff cuts, in the context of a fiscal package aimed at reducing the deficit. The Ministry of Development has proposed measures to cut more than 6,000 jobs, but trade unionists have criticized the way the cuts are being made, accusing a lack of analysis.
