The Spanish police arrested a 25-year-old Romanian man, accused of stealing 139 mobile phones, mostly iPhones, with a total value of approximately 150,000 euros. The devices were largely taken from participants of the Primavera Sound festival, held at the beginning of June in Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona.

The young man was caught at the Barcelona Nord bus station, where he was preparing to leave for Romania. His agitation attracted the attention of the police, who were in the area for security measures related to the visit of Pope Leo XIV. During the luggage check, the 139 phones were discovered. Investigators suspect that he may have been used by a criminal group for transporting stolen goods. The young man, with no criminal record in Spain, was detained for aggravated theft and possession.
