On the night of January 4th, two Romanian citizens, aged 47 and 50, committed an unusual theft in a bar in Fieberbrunn, Tyrol. After forcing the entrance, the thieves ripped out the safe and, instead of transporting it discreetly, dragged it down a nearby ski slope, attracting the attention of passersby.

They alerted the authorities, and the police intervened quickly, managing to stop the suspects before they could escape. Investigators suspect that the tools used for the break-in may have been stolen from other tourist areas in the region. Authorities encourage victims of other thefts to come to the station in Fieberbrunn to assist in expanding the investigation. The two men are in police custody, and investigations are ongoing.
