The document signed on October 28 introduces salary increases of 100 euros gross per month for domestic workers, with staggered increases and a more favorable indexing of minimum wages, from 80% to 90% of inflation. The financial impact will be significant, with annual increases of 850-900 euros for caregivers employed 54 hours a week and 900-1,000 euros for nannies working 40 hours.

Additionally, the contract aims to expand social rights, including additional vacation days and flexibility for working mothers. The new CCNL also aims to combat undeclared work and support families through tax benefits. Furthermore, special contingents of domestic workers are expected for the care of elderly individuals and those with disabilities, having a direct impact on the standard of living in Italy, including for Romanians.
