Two Romanians, aged 37 and 53, were arrested in Italy, accused of committing several pickpocketing thefts, targeting especially the elderly and sick in the vicinity of a hospital near Rome. They took advantage of the patients' vulnerability, who were there for medical check-ups or treatments, and quickly approached their victims, pushing them and snatching their wallets.

After each theft, the thieves immediately headed to ATMs to withdraw money, before the cards could be blocked. Investigators managed to identify them by analyzing footage from surveillance cameras. Now, the two are under house arrest, accused of aggravated theft, possession of stolen goods, and fraudulent use of credit cards.
