A man wanted internationally based on an arrest warrant issued by the Bucharest Tribunal has been caught in Spain. Investigators claim that he founded a criminal group in April 2014, on the territory of Ireland, alongside other Romanian citizens, with the aim of obtaining money through illegal and violent methods.
The serious charges include murder and attempted murder. The Romanian police announced the success of the operation, which was made possible due to international collaboration and the rapid exchange of information between the police in Neamț and the Spanish police. The fugitive has been identified and detained in Spain, and he is now set to be extradited to Romania for trial.
