The Romanian Ambassador to Paris, Ioana Bivolaru, welcomed the launch of a pilot program through which the Romanian language will be introduced as a mandatory foreign language in public schools in France, especially at Collège Aimé et Eugenie Cotton in Blanc-Mesnil. The project aims to support Romanian children in maintaining their cultural and linguistic ties with Romania. This initiative marks an important step for the recognition of the Romanian language in Western Europe and can serve as a model for other regions with Romanian communities.
