The new bright red car vignette for the year 2026 can be purchased in the classic version, but this will be the last time that buyers can buy it in the form of a sticker, as from 2027 it will only be available in digital format. The vignette will be valid from December 1, 2025, until January 31, 2027, providing a total period of 14 months. Although the digital vignette offers advantages, such as the use of an interchangeable number, about 25% of buyers prefer the classic version.

For those who choose the sticker, it is important to follow certain rules when applying it. The removal of the old vignette is done with a damp material, and the windshield must be cleaned and degreased. The vignette must be affixed to the upper left side of the windshield, and the lower part, with the serial number, must be kept as proof of purchase. The rates for the 2026 vignette are: 106.80 euros annually for cars, 42.70 euros for motorcycles, and shorter validity options at reduced prices. The vignette obligation applies to all vehicles with a weight of under 3.5 tons.
